I am a licensed clinical professional counselor in the State of Illinois. I received my master's degree from The Chicago School of Psychology with a concentration in child and adolescents in 2010 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Dayton in 2007.  I completed my internship at AMITA Health – Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital where I trained and specialized in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorders (OCD) and anxiety disorders under the mentorship of a leading psychologist in the field. I have trained and worked at renowned treatment centers in both Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) treating pediatrics and adults, including being the director of a child PHP program and an active contributor to the development of program curriculums. Additionally, I have been practicing independently since 2013.

My motto is "Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable".  My greatest reward is observing my clients getting back to living freely and enjoying life.  I use my passion, dedication, and humor to help facilitate the therapeutic process.  My unique ability consists of building rapport quickly with my clients which allows for the therapy process to begin immediately.  My approach to both my pediatric and my adult clients is to develop a collaborative relationship. I value teamwork and believe the involvement of the family system is of utmost importance to best understand the client's current functioning while maintaining the confidentiality of my client.  The partnership from family members can enhance one's treatment to provide therapeutic support and eliminate behaviors that may enable and maintain the client's symptoms.

I am committed to educating and providing the best care for my clients.  I utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Habit Reversal Training (HRT). With a decade of continued training and practice from a variety of settings, including The Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI) through the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) by Eli Lebovitz, PhD, and ongoing consultation with leaders in the field, I have the privilege to continue to work with the complexities of OCD and anxiety disorders.

During my time off, I enjoy going to the gym, spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, and traveling. As a gymnast for twelve years and always staying active, I have taken on tennis and golf as new challenges.
